As a stay-at-home mom - between teaching my own home school and regular visits to my chiropractor - I don't have much extra time. That's why I so enjoy every personal appearance I get to make with my famous celebrity friend Betty Jack Devine.

We had a most wonderful time emceeing for our second year in a row at Wigwood 2001. Look at these pictures and you'll understand why.

Before the show began, we had our picture taken with Pauley Vegas who is as stunning as a supermodel

These handsome young men were Pauley's backup dancers for his number "War Is Stupid". They are called the Big Guns and from what Betty Jack has told me it has something to with something large you can't see. ("It's not what you see, it's what you can't see," she said with a wink) During the performance they pumped it out real hard and shot off all over the crowd. I wish you could have been there to catch some of that action!

Thanks to City Councilperson Heather Fairingdale and her Heads and Hands Helping Feet Outreach Choreography Program for Peace and Justice, Betty Jack and I learned some spendid choreography for our opening production number "Staying Alive."

There were so many fabulous entertainers on stage! Atlanta's newest superstar Jade Daniel did Janet Jackson's All For You; Patricia served sizzling salsa; and poet and glamourous dancer Blondie read her lovely poem about her brother who had recently died from AIDS.

Backstage, we all had a good time meeting Jade and even did some of what Betty Jack calls "cavorting" with that wild South Fulton County Vampire Slayer Buffy Odum

Everybody was relieved when Merv Wanker finally came. He is a real "slow hand" sometimes about getting there. Merv is so talented and beats anything you can think of for enjoyable entertainment. Merv got loads of applause, and Merv made Betty Jack and I feel really good when said he might hire us both to be in his next Las Vegas Revue.

I appreciated so much having DeAundra Peek invite us to emcee. (that's her cuddly friend Rodney with us) YEAAAAAH! I appreciate Mona Love and the Harm Reduction Project and all that work so hard at AIDS Survival Project. Although the crowd was way too small, over $5000 was raised to assist with the vital work these organizations do. I think there is no question that the entire event was an artistic success and I am confident that the booklet that my children are currently working on in our home school hands-on seminar "Care and Maintenance of Home Office Equipment" will bring lasting pleasure for many!
