Hello Angie, I've been a huge admirerer of yours ever since becoming a Ziggy Stardust fan in 1992 - I read every book about Bowie and Mainman that I could get my hands on and your Backstage Passes is my favorite book about that time. You're an inspiration to your fans Angie! I had a few questions I wanted to ask you, first one, I was wondering if you ever hung out with Anita Pallenberg in the 70's. I know from your book and Marianne Faithfull's book that the two of you were friends (do you still keep in touch with Marianne?) but I was curious to know if you were friends with Anita. Also, I was wondering if you had more stories about Led Zeppelin, particularly Jimmy Page! In Tony Zanetta's book Stardust he mentions how David thought that Jimmy was "out to get him" when he was ultra-paranoid in the mid 70's so I was wondering if you could shed any light on that. Also, are you still performing? I live in Denver and I'd love to see you give a performance at a club here someday soon! Also, what is Dana Gillespie, Cherry Vanilla and Cyrinda Foxe up to these days? I read your interview at the Ziggy Stardust Companion Online and loved it! Oh, to let you know, I have a discussion group at www.onelist.com that's called Lady Stardust, it's a place for fans of yours, Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithfull to exchange their views and news. Cheers and I'll be visiting your website alot! I hope to get an email from you!!!! Lisa aka Gypp (my favorite stage name of yours!)
Hmm....Bloody interesting...right from the opening moments of the Ziggy Live at the Hammersmith Odeon, I've been looking for info etc on you, what an incredible life you've had...I'm impressed...loved Backstage Passes too, it resides in my louge room where I can get to it quickly should the topic of discussion turn that way. I dream of contriving a space catapult to fling myself across the star strewn ether to meet winged beings , wise scribes and their golden insect servants or to be rescued by a magnificent she knight who would snatch me , naked and unconscious, from a sacrificial altar mere moments before some dark priestess plunged her thirsty blade into my heart. In my dreams these things happen but in reality I have constructed no catapults nor have I met my she knight . However , last week I found an excellent bargain on socks at Sears and a bit of real world enchantment in you . Your words resonate with magic and I am deeply enchanted by both your spirits . I am rather an innocent sort of lad with hair the color of a brand new penny a mouth that is always twisted in a mirthful smile as though I were constantly amused by some private joke and deceptively sinister eyes that stare forth from a sweet angelic face . I am one of your light people as you call them . Really and for truly ! I love the intelligence , strength and femine vibe that come from the way you communicate and express yourself with words . I am entertained , fascinated and filled with warmth all at the same time . My whole life I have chosen to walk a path of compassion and uncoditional love for everyone I meet but have been torn apart by psychic attacks for my troubles . When I read Backstage passes recently and your essay on " two spiritedness " I felt I was basking in the glow of a wonderfull mind . I got a little energy from it and felt refreshed and nurtured . You are a beautifull and very cool divine being . I love you Angie Bowie . JAMES LEWIS
Angela, I just discovered your website yesterday--what a joy! I really appreciate your thought & integrity on the matter of human sexuality. I believe that I too am a Two-Spirited person, even though I have never been with a woman. I think your outlook on life is healthy and positive in a world that is often negative and confusing. You are a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. I bought your book BACKSTAGE PASSES in 1993 and thoroughly enjoyed the read! Thanks for being you and spreading the word of acceptance to others. I am looking forward to your new book. Love, Jeffrey Jordan

Dear Angie, I just read the interview you gave Mike Harvey for his internet-page 5-years-com on Ziggy Stardust. Great interview :-))! It brought this great time back to me. I was far too young when Ziggy was huge, but it`s really great you share all your experiences with us. I have both of your books "Free Spirit" and "Backstage Passes". I really like "Free Spirit" with your poems. I didn`t like "Velvet Goldmine" very much, for me the movie was full of cliches and it was good that David and you didn`t take part in it!!! How about your own music-career? Any film-plans? Great to see your page online! Good luck for the future and many good ideas for your page :-))! All the best, Bianca
Hello Angie! Your interview on "The Ziggy Stardust Companion" was a very interesting read. And I'm quite pleased that it directed me to your website. Ever since I first became a fan of your ex-husband, I've found you and your life to be an exhilarating and interesting subject matter. I have the Hardcover and Audiobook versions of "Backstage Passes" as well as your CD single to "The World Is Changing." (Speaking of the CD single, did you run into any trouble from your ex-husband's camp for having the same "BOWIE" lettering style on your cover that was used on the "Let's Dance" cover?) Your piece on bisexuality was a very enlightening read. Your frankness and openness was refreshing. Although I am a straight male, I appreciate the light you have shed on this sometimes confusing subject. Finally, I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying your life and things are going well in the post-David years. Continued good luck to you and best wished for the future! John Bowerman
